Vulamathuba, the community and social development division of Communicare, was established to deliver developmental interventions to Communicare tenants. Vulamathuba’s overall objective is to create opportunities for the economic growth of residents in fostering the principle of Economic Mobility through skills, training, and development.

Vulamathuba administers Credit Bearing Skills Programmes in Customer Management and Team Leader Training. Through the Credit Bearing Skills Programmes, it provides the individuals with an opportunity to attend a short accredited training that will empower the candidate with skills and training in Customer Services, thereby enhancing their capacity to be self-reliant and financially mobile.

Vulamathuba is providing a Services SETA accredited Skills Programmes in Customer Management and Team Leader, to commence in February of 2021. We are inviting the general public with a desire to upskill themselves to apply. We will consider applications from unemployed applicants, with or without disabilities. They must have passed Grade 12 (Matric). The training is FREE of charge, with an admin fee of R100.00. 

Please note:

  • Candidates may not be registered against more than one Skills Programme.
  • Candidates will be required to complete and submit a Portfolio of evidence (POE), at an agreed date.
THE APPROVAL PROCESS
The Vulamathuba will only consider fully completed applications, which have reached us on or before Monday 11 January 2021. All successful candidates will be required to pay a R100.00 registration fee.
Skills Programme Learner Application Form must be signed and submitted to Vulamathuba together with

• a CV;
• a certified copy of ID;
• a certified copy of the candidate’s highest qualification (Matric);
• Proof of residence;
Affidavit stating unemployment

Vulamathuba reserves the right to withdraw the approval if:
• The information provided in the application form is not true and correct; or
• The applicant does not adhere to any of the requirements laid down by Vulamathuba
Applications must be submitted via email to Noma-Afrika Nkwenkwe-Maxwele nmaxwele@Vulamathuba.org.za Successful applicants will be required to sign a Memorandum of Agreement with Vulamathuba and SETA.
The Skills Programme selection will be final, and Vulamathuba will not enter into any correspondence. The recipient will be required to complete and submit the Portfolio of Evidence (POE), at the agreed set date.
The Skills Programmes Application is not an agreement or commitment. All successful applicants will be informed in writing of the outcome of their application within a week after the closing date. • The recipient will receive a Certificate of Attendance on the submission of the POE.
• The Statement of Results and Competency Certificate with be issued within three (3) months after the training has been concluded.
If Vulamathuba has not contacted you within two weeks after the closing date, please accept that your application was not successful. All successful candidates will be required to attend the Skills Programme Training at our Drommedaris Learning Center (hall) in Brooklyn (off Koeberg Road) . Candidates are responsible for their traveling.
