As the social and community development arm of Communicare, the core focus of Vulamathuba is to provide socio-economic development support to Communicare tenants and people in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Together with valued partners, Vulamathuba implements the following interventions to change the trajectory of people’s lives:

• Promote economic mobility – by enhancing the capacity of tenants and their neighbours to be self-reliant and economically mobile

• Promote social cohesion – by creating healthy communities through tenant engagement and facilitating social unity in our complexes and neighbourhood

• Support vulnerable tenants – by improving the wellbeing of vulnerable and at-risk individuals and assisting tenants to gain access to appropriate support services
